In the spring of 2013, a strategic planning committee comprised of representatives from the College of Education and Human Services was formed and charged with crafting a new plan by fall semester 2013.
Committee members met regularly through the spring and summer of 2013, reviewing the old plan, recognizing unique departmental needs and concerns, referencing the draft university plan as a model, and consulting with faculty and staff from the college for input and feedback.
The plan was rolled out for final review at the August 2013 College Advance and was voted on and approved at the October 2013 College Meeting.
Committee members are working with faculty and staff to capture current initiatives aligned with the strategic plan and identify areas where work is still needed.
The plan will be continually reviewed, updated, and adapted based on the college’s evolving needs. The hope of the committee is for the plan to be a living document that will foster innovation and inspire meaningful change.
